PUNCAK - The Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently carrying out mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Thursday, 4 July 2024, the 323 Task Forces Patrol Team carried out routine security patrols in the Gome District, specifically the Gome Village. During the security patrol, the Patrol Team showed their empathy by visiting the residence of the late Wendanak Tabuni who passed away due to illness.
Before the patrol began, by an order from the 323 Task Forces Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, the Gome Post led by First Lieutenant Galang, had prepared basic commodities packages to be handed into the family of the late Wendanak Tabuni. The preparation was carried out as attention from the 323 Task Forces to the families who were mourning the death of the late Wendanak Tabuni.

Upon arrival at the funeral house, Pastor Mr Welianus Tabuni, representing the mourned family, welcomed the Gome Post Commander and the Soldiers. While expressing his deep condolences, 1LT Galang handed over the basic commodities donations directly to the mourned family. On behalf of the family, Mr. Welianus Tabuni said "Thank you for the attention of the 323 Commander. God bless all of you, Soldiers."
"The initiative of the 323 Task Forces in empathizing in the Gome Village is the TNI's effort to maintain harmonious relations with community members, to support the security situation to accelerate development in the Papua region, " said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
